I was lucky enough to partner with Kerotin and give a few of their products a try. I’ve been on the hunt for new hair growth remedies since I’ve been on the mission of growing my hair long again after my short haircut, as well as maintaining full, thick hair throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Today I’m reviewing with you a few products from Kerotin and letting you know how I liked them and how they have effected my hair growth journey.

Disclaimer: Please pardon the visible postpartum fatigue. Even sleep deprived, I stay dedicated to Hairfluenced 🙂

Kerotin Freshening Shampoo + Conditioner

The Kerotin Freshening shampoo and conditioner is targeted towards controlling hair loss and promoting hair growth. The formula uses natural ingredients, is cruelty free, and safe for color treated hair. The shampoo harnesses keratin, biotin, and sea kelp extract while being free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, and sodium chloride. Improving scalp health and strengthening hair strands, the Kerotin Freshening Shampoo promotes hair growth, unclogs hair follicles and moisturizes the scalp. For a full list of individual ingredients and their specific benefits, visit Kerotin’s website.

The Kerotin Freshening Conditioner is formulated with Keratin, avocado oil, and aloe barbadensis. When using this shampoo and conditioner, I pair it with Kerotin’s shampoo massage brush, a tool I’ve detailed in a previous video. Not only is this one they’ve provided much cuter in white and baby pink, but I’ve always been adamant about emulsifying my shampoo with one of these since I’ve discovered them. This Freshening Shampoo and Conditioner combo has definitely left my hair soft post-shower, even if I leave it to air dry. However, I’ve mostly been blowdrying for manageability, which I will get into in the next product.

Kerotin Extensive Thickening Treatment

The Kerotin Extensive Thickening Treatment is a spray on treatment meant to be used on the entire head of hair from roots to ends. This treatment increases each piece of hair’s diameter and strengthens the hair strands to combat breakage. This products is also made with natural ingredients such as amaranth seed, hydrolyzed baobab protein, quinoa, polysorbate 80 (a coconut derivative), rosemary leaf extract, hibiscus flower extract, aloe barbadensis, and marshmellow root extract. Together these ingredients harness peptide technology and botanicals to increase hair diameter while providing moisture, movement, thermal protection and Keratin protein healing. Their packaging claims results within one month of use.

I like that this product was a heat protectant because lately, I’ve only had time to blowout my hair with my Revlon One-Step. My postpartum lifestyle is very time consuming, so as much as I’ve been trying to prevent any hair shedding, as I highlighted in a recent video on Pregnancy Hair, I need products that tackle more with less. My hair has definitely felt thick lately since using the Kerotin system and my quick blowout keeps me looking decent for at least 2-3 days, which has been especially useful between family and friends’ visits.

Kerotin Intensive Growth Drops

This hair growth stimulator and DHT topical blocker reduces hair loss. The Intensive Growth Drops are ideal for those experiencing hair loss who want to boost hair density. This product is made with natural ingredients as well, such as Gotu kola extract, pea sprout extract, olive leaf extract, peppermint oil, jojoba oil, rosemary oil, castor oil, vitamin E, acetyl tetrapeptide-3 peptide, apple fruit cell culture extract, green tea extract, and clover flower extract. Together these ingredients work to block the hormone (DHT) responsible for hair loss and stimulate the hair follicles by increasing blood flow to the scalp for active hair growth. To use, you would fill the dropper tincture with product and dispense 25 drops of this leave-in serum to the scalp directly and massage in, preferably with the massage brush. Their expectations include a decrease in hair loss within the first month of use, an increase in hair growth and thickness within the first 3 months, and visibly longer and thicker hair with little hair loss by 6 months of continuous use. I have only had the opportunity to use these Intensive Growth Drops for 1 month consistently, however being 1 month postpartum, I had expected some hair shedding and thankfully have not had any. I assume we can credit some of that to this serum.

Kerotin Hair Growth Vitamins

These multi-vitamins power packed with biotin and folic acid are formulated to support healthier, stronger and thicker hair while combatting shedding. The packaging suggests taking twice daily with food for a minimum of 3 months. Their consistency standards say to expect stronger nails within the first month, less hair shedding within the second, and hair growth by the third month. I have only been able to review these so far for one month, but I can say that I certainly notice the stronger nails. All throughout my pregnancy i struggled with my weak nails and I finally have nails that don’t peal or break. However, I would not have started these vitamins during pregnancy without first consulting with a doctor because many of the existing vitamins in the formula double up from the prenatal. I personally waited until postpartum to begin these vitamins.
