Initial Collagen Powder Review

Upon trying this powder for the first few times, these were my observations.


At first take, this powder is very light weight and colorless. The smell is almost non-existant but very neutral.


Upon mixing 1 scoop into my coffee, I noticed its very sticky. My stirring spoon would feel sticky, and as I drink, it becomes a little sticky on my lips as well.


I would not suggest mixing the Collagen Powder into anything thin, such as water of juice. I have found it goes best with something with substance, such as my coffee with creamer or a smoothie.

How I used Collagen Powder

I used the Vital Proteins Collagen Powder oncer per day. Serving suggestions were 1-2 scoops daily, however I wanted to get the most of my product and for this month’s review, used only 1 scoop per day. I mixed 1 scoop of Collagen Powder with my 10 oz coffee and 1 single half & half creamer.

My 1 month review of the Collagen Powder

The very first observation I made in taking this powder daily was the overall growth in my hair. This includes legs, armpits, bikini, etc. I was certainly shaving more often than I was used to, however this was a good sign in that it was working well. As far as my hair, I am used to it growing 1 inch every 6 weeks, therefore, without the collagen in this experiment, my hair should have grown 2/3 of an inch. My results after 1 month (or 4 weeks) of collagen powder, was 1 solid inch in growth. This is 1/3 faster than it would have growth without collagen. So in a whole year, this would have leveled out to 12 inches (or 1 whole foot!) of growth, whereas without, 6 inches!
